pureDKNY is providing funding to CARE, a leading international humanitarian organization, for their work with vanilla bean farmers in Uganda.
pureDKNY is supporting a 15-month project that will reach 900 vanilla farmers, 60 percent women, in rural communities in Uganda’s south-western Mukono district who belong to the Uganda Vanilla  Association (UVAN). 
by establishing Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) CARE will offer farming families in Uganda greater access to credit and savings which will be re-invested in their livelihoods for food production, school fees or health care costs.
